Welcome!
The Grateful Bread was born from a time of healing and rediscovery. After experiencing a head injury, Fran Osen began taking life at a slower pace, finding comfort and creativity in the art of sourdough baking. What started as a simple act of sharing fresh loaves with friends soon grew into something much bigger. Word spread quickly, and before long, Fran’s kitchen became the heart of a small but thriving local business.
Today, The Grateful Bread is known for its delicious handmade sourdough creations—classic loaves, rosemary parmesan, irresistible cinnamon rolls, and many other flavorful variations. Each batch is made with care, patience, and gratitude.
Fran offers regular Saturday deliveries to Raven and welcomes visitors to her charming Bread Barn in Anglemont, where orders can be picked up after 10 a.m. on the dates listed below.
In February, Fran began sharing her passion through sourdough baking classes, inspiring others to experience the magic of making their own bread. Every student leaves with new skills, confidence, and glowing reviews. Her cinnamon buns, loved by all who try them, remain a community favorite and a symbol of the warmth that The Grateful Bread brings to every table.
